Premont Assistant Police Chief Suspended for DWI

PREMONT (Kiii News) -

The assistant police chief in Premont has been suspended after being arrested for driving while intoxicated over the weekend.

Luis Valadez, Jr., 50, was arrested around 2 a.m. Saturday in Alice. Valadez has been with the Premont Police Department for 12 years. Word is that he will remain on suspension, pending a report on the arrest from the Department of Public Safety.
