Development of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi continued Tuesday following a big donation, courtesy of the British Petroleum.
On Tuesday morning, BP donated an oil skimmer vessel to the university's National Oil Spill Control School. The boat is a rapid response vessel that skims spilled oil from the water, and helps soak it back up into the vessel.
The hope is that the tool will provide even more hands-on experience for students. Students taking part in the fall semester will be able to use the vessel as part of their learning experience.
