Auto Burglary Stopped by Attentive Babysitter

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

An alert sitter thwarted a would-be burglar Tuesday morning.

Police were called out to the Montego Bay Apartments on Weber just after 11 a.m. Tuesday. They said 24-year old Arturo Navarro was trying to break into a car, but was spooked by an attentive babysitter.

Navarro ran across the street to another apartment complex where he was found, identified and arrested. He was charged with burglary of a vehicle.
