WOODSBORO (Kiii Sports) - The Woodsboro Eagles are off to their best start in 32 years, and it's thanks in large part to their new coach and new attitude.
The Eagles are 5-0 this season after Head Coach Wade Miller came over after serving as Offensive Coordinator for Flour Bluff. Miller brought with him the Hornets' high-powered spread offense, and that has translated to an average of 38 points a game for Woodsboro.
The Eagles have rallied up a community that was hungry for a winner after Woodsboro won just four games combined the last two years. The players know their real season starts next week however when District 14-A Div. II play kicks off at Runge.
