CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Representatives from CASA were at Texas Toyz on Friday to promote Zombie Week. The group gave out prizes and goodies to encourage people to buy tickets for the first annual Zombie Walk.

"The event that we're promoting today is Zombie Week next week, and it's all going to end with the Zombie Walk," said Diana Booth of CASA. "The first annual Corpus Christi Zombie Walk."

The proceeds of the walk go to benefit children in foster care, and also to the Gulf Coast Humane Society, which helps abused and neglected animals. Tickets for the event are available now at Texas Toyz for $17.

Currently, these walks are already a big success in Austin and Houston, so CASA decided to start one right here in the Coastal Bend.
