Posted: Updated:

Cooler temperatures have brought out more than heavy sweaters.

Game wardens with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, police officers as well as animal control officers were called to the 3200 block of Eugenia in Groves to help round-up a white-tailed deer that was causing a potential hazard to traffic.

Officers were able to apprehend the deer and take it out of harm's way.

Bow season for White-tailed deer began September 29.  General season begins in most counties November 3. A complete list of hunting season dates can be found on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website.
