Man Arrested After Leading Police on Car Chase

A man is behind bars Monday after leading police on a wild chase in a stolen vehicle.

According to police, 30-year old Brandon Arko was charged with a list of things, including evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Police said it all started when they tried to stop Arko's car for driving the wrong direction on Agnes Street, but he sped away.

The officers then tracked the vehicle to Old Brownsville Road, where he continued to FM-2444. Finally, the driver ran out of gas and drove into a ditch. He then fled on foot.

Officers were able to catch Arko after a violent struggle. Police said he even tried to punch them.

Arko received minor cuts and a leg injury when he bailed from the truck.
