CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Police are still on the hunt for a man who led them on an overnight high-speed chase. Authorities say they know the name of the driver because he left his cell phone behind in the vehicle.
The chase ended when the sport utility vehicle hit a curb and struck a tree near the intersection of Fort Worth and Doddridge. Police said the chase started early Tuesday morning on the 3500 block of Saratoga.
The man led police through a field behind a church, and then through neighborhoods on the southside. When the suspect crashed, he took off on foot, jumping over fences and running in between homes.
