Army Corporal Home from Second Tour in Afghanistan

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

It was a happy homecoming for an Army Corporal returning from his second tour of duty in Afghanistan Wednesday at the Corpus Christi International Airport.

Corporal Vicente Longoria was greeted by his son. The two have been apart since April.

For Longoria, a Falfurrias native and Apache crew chief mechanic, it happens to be his final trip home. His military commitment in Afghanistan is now over.

"It feels great. I haven't seen them in a real long time," Longoria said. "I wouldn't have made it without them. It was all on them. They prayed for me. Sent me everything I needed. It's all because of them, the reason I made it back, honestly."
