Police Enlist Students to Create Anti-Drunk Driving Campaign
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
If you are in high school, then the Corpus Christi Police Department is asking you to come up with their holiday drunk driving message.
The Police Foundation has donated iPads, iPods and iPod Nanos as the incentive for those students who come up with the most creative slogans and artwork designed to get people to stop drinking and driving; a problem that the department feels is out of control.
Contest forms will be available at schools, churches and at the Police Department.
"We're starting this campaign because, basically, Chief Simpson and the men and women of the Corpus Christi Police Department are quite frankly frustrated with the drunk driving in this community," CCPD Captain Jason Brady said.
You have to be between the ages of 15-18 to participate, and you have to have your parent's permission.
