Pedestrian hit by truck, two taken to hospital

A 21-year old pedestrian is recovering after he was hit by a truck in Beaumont on Saturday.

Beaumont police say around 12:30 p.m. the driver of a Dodge Ram heading west on Phelan Boulevard was making a right turn into the Colonnade Shopping Center. Officers say the truck hit a Ford Explorer, then swerved onto the side of the road and hit a pedestrian who was handing out business flyers.

The driver of the Explorer and the pedestrian were taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
