CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
YWCA is kicking off its campaign called A Week Without Violence. It is something that YWCA's all around the world take part in.
The campaign calls attention to the issues of violence and how it can affect families, but they also look at how the community can get together to stop the cycle by learning to deal with anger and other issues in a better way.
"Because, the more time we have fun together, the less likely violence is," said Nancy Wesson'Dodd, CEO of YWCA.
Throughout the week, various groups in the city will be hosting events like this to help curb violence.
