Incarnate Word Students Learn Responsible Online Behavior
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
It is National Bullying Prevention Month, and the students at Incarnate Word Academy learned digital etiquette on Monday.
Richard Guerry, executive director of the Institute for Responsible Online and Cell Phone Communication, visited students to discuss cyber bullying. The message focused on the consequences of posting information online.
"Our goal is basically to give them a preventative mindset," Guerry said. "Are you okay with what you are about to do or say in this cyber world being public and permanent? Because there's a million ways it can be, instantly."
It's a very important lesson for all young people these days. Students were also given wristbands to show support for National Bullying Prevention Month.
