Senior Officer Arrested for DWI Resigns from CCPD - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, Senior Officer Hector Corona resigned from the department, effective Tuesday.

Corona's resignation stems from his arrest on Oct. 14. It was around 3 a.m. when a police officer noticed a vehicle driving unsafely and pulled it over. The officer recognized the driver as Corona, who was off-duty at the time.

Corona was arrested and a warrant for a blood test was obtained. The 17-year veteran of the CCPD was placed on restricted duty during the investigation.
