The Bee County Sheriff confirmed that there has been another shooting death in connection with the recent death of a rancher.
Brien Hickman, 54, was found dead from a gunshot to his head a few weeks ago. Now comes word that his brother-in-law, Mike Stuart, was found dead with what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday.
Bee County Sheriff Carlos Carrizalez said that, when investigators arrived on the Hickman property Tuesday, they heard a gunshot. Soon after, they discovered Stuart's body.
Hickman's death came as a shock to the community. An anonymous donor even offered a $5,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the Hickman's murderer.
There has been no word if Stuart was in any way connected to Hickman's death.
