Woman Dies in Accident Outside of Three Rivers - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

An accident outside of Three Rivers left one woman dead Tuesday evening.

Ashley Nicole Gomez, 29, was heading eastbound on Highway 72, just west of Three Rivers, when she veered off the road, over-corrected and slid across the road into oncoming traffic. Her car struck an 18-wheeler.

Officers said it was raining, and the roads were wet. She was not wearing a seat belt.
