High Winds to Blame for Fire Hose Obstructing SPID

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

There was an unexpected obstruction on South Padre Island Drive Wednesday morning. A fire hose was strung across the road near the Flour Bluff exit.

Firefighters said high winds were to blame. The winds caught the hose and caused it to uncoil.

No damage was caused by the hose, as all cars managed to dodge the equipment.
