SAN MARCOS (Kiii News) -

According to Texas State University's official Twitter account, a bomb threat evacuation was begun after an emergency text alert was sent out from the university at some time around 10 p.m.

The alert said there was a bomb threat at the admission's building on campus. The building was evacuated. The evacuation area has eventually expanded to the San Jacinto and Tower halls. Officials urged students to stay away from those areas.

As of noon, the University sent out another alert stating that the emergency situation has ended. All halls except for the Admissions Office are now open, and classes are back in session.
