The League of Women Voters hosted their second and final candidate's forum at City Hall Wednesday night, aimed at giving the public a chance to get to know local candidates.
On Monday, people will head to the polls for early voting, and the League of Women Voters want to be sure before you cast your ballot that you know everything there is to know about the candidates.
Political hopefuls running for state, county and city offices answered questions from the audience and talked a bit about themselves during Wednesday night's forum. Each candidate was given two minutes to make their opening statement, and one minute to answer questions submitted by the audience.
"This is a democracy based on the will of people, for people, by people," said Sandra Heatherley of the League of Women Voters. "So how do people express there opinion? They vote. Our leadership should be selected by the majority of he people."
The forum began at 6 p.m. and wrapped up at around 9 p.m. It was the last of two forums hosted by the non-partisan political organization.
If you missed out, the entire forum will be aired throughout the week on channel 20, Time Warner's public access channel.
