CCPD Jane Sting Leads to Ten Arrests for Prostitution
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Looking for love in all the wrong places landed 10 people in jail Wednesday evening.
Undercover investigations, led by the Corpus Christi Police Department's Narcotics Vice Investigation Division, took place between 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, leading to the arrest of 10 people involved in prostitution.
Officers said areas of the city with high prostitution complaints were targeted, mainly the North Central region.
"We're consistently getting complaints about prostitutes working the streets, and we get out there as often as we can," CCPD Captain David Cook said. "Typically, we're very productive. I've been here just a little over a year, and we haven't made less than eight arrests on any prostitution sting we've run."
It is the help of public complaints that lead authorities to the right locations.
