A local man called police on Monday to report that his car and handgun were missing from his home, but he was unable to provide them with any description of the suspect.
The next evening, officers responded to complaints of an intoxicated female in a white car in a parking garage on Mann Street, but when they arrived she was gone. Thanks to eyewitness descriptions, officers were able to identify the woman as Karen House.
After a short search, they found House behind a car rental agency on Water Street. Police said House was found with the keys to the stolen vehicle in her possession, along with heroin and syringes. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
