Islander Invasion Attracts Huge Crowd - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports) - Hundreds of fans were in the stands on Thursday night to meet  the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men's and women's basketball teams in the annual Islander Invasion kick-off party.

New women's coach Royce Chadwick and men's basketball coach Willis Wilson gave quick scouting reports and then led their teams through a quick scrimmage. In addition, fans were treated to a three point shooting contest and numerous chances to win discounted books and other merchandise.

The Islanders kick off the season early next month.
