CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
An accident on the JFK Causeway sent three people to the hospital, including a four-year old, just after 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Traffic was backed up for quite some time as emergency crews responded to the scene. It happened on the JFK Causeway heading towards the Island.
Police said a 25-year old man and his four-year old son were in a black Ford F-150 when it hit a blue Dodge driven by a 38-year old man.
The Dodge was stalled on the causeway and blocking the left lane. The Ford wasn't able to stop in time and ended up slamming into the other truck. The Dodge caught fire.
All three were taken to the hospital.
