The parking lot at the Nueces County Courthouse was void of political signs on Friday, and politicians and their supporters were handing out cards and speeches; but on Monday morning, the area will be transformed into a political circus.
That's because early voting officially begins at 8 a.m. Monday.
"They just put signs everywhere. Several signs of the same candidate," Elections Administrator Diana Barrera said.
Elections officials will be keeping a very close eye to make sure all the rules are obeyed. Barrera said that, because of the length of the ballot, 12-pages, additional permanent early voting has been set up throughout the county.
