Rescued Dolphin Dies at Sea Lab

A dolphin that was rescued Friday has died.

On Friday, a Spinner Dolphin washed up on the Padre Island National Seashore. Volunteers with the Marine Mammal Stranding Network transported the dolphin to the Sea Lab with the Texas State Aquarium. She died a few hours later.

A necropsy has been done on the dolphin, and the results should be back in a few days.
