CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Miller Buccaneers were in desperate need of their first district win Saturday, and that's exactly what they got in a 38-35 win over Laredo Nixon at Buc Stadium.

Miller used a strong second half surge and then had to hold on late to improve their District 31-4A record to 1-3, tied with three other schools. The Bucs need at least two wins in their final three games and a little help to get into the postseason.
