CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiiinews) The super heated race for Nueces County Sheriff is turning bitter. The challenger, Corpus Christi Police Lt. Isaac Valencia calling Incumbent Sheriff Jim Kaelin a coward. Now the Sheriff is firing back with a complaint to the Corpus Christi Police Department. As Our Rudy Trevino found out, Valencia is voluntarily taking a leave of absence without pay.
