Water Outage Blamed on Recent Weather Conditions - KiiiTV3.com South Texas, Corpus Christi, Coastal Bend

Some Corpus Christi residents woken up to no water this morning.

The reason why is because a water main busted overnight.

This occurred at the 1600 block of Devon Street near the intersection of Horne and Kostoryz road.

Officials with the Corpus Christi Water Department tell us the reason why this happened is because of the drastic temperature changes that we have seen this past week.

This causes for the ground to shift, causing the pipes to break.

Residents in the area had no water for a few hours.

As of this afternoon, the water has been restored to normal flow levels.
