RTA Unveils First of its Alternative Fuel Buses

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

They may have the same look, but on Tuesday, the Regional Transportation Authority unveiled the first of its compressed natural gas powered buses.

With a ribbon cutting, the first bus of the cost-saving fleet started its route from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

The RTA has approved to add a total of 10 of the alternative fuel buses. The buses will help the RTA save approximately two-thirds on its operating fuel cost.
