Overturned 18-wheeler along Interstate 10

The Department of Public Safety is investigating an accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler on the westbound side of Interstate 10 near Smith Road.

The accident happened on the westbound side of the Interstate just before FM 365 around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

According to our news partner the Beaumont Enterprise, the driver of the 18-wheeler was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

No other information has been released by officials.
