Coastal Bend Blood Center Employees Go All Out for Halloween

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Witches, ghouls, and even Edward Scissorhands spooked away Count Dracula from the Corpus Christi Blood Center.

That's because employees from the Blood Center were taking advantage of the Halloween spirit during their annual employee costume contest Wednesday.

Also taking place was the fourth annual Pumpkin Carving Contest, and our own Morning Anchor John Thomas stopped by as one of three judges.

"Halloween is a very special day here at the Coastal Bend Blood Center," said Leticia Mondragon. "I think everybody expects us to be vampires. Actually, I tell everybody that's what we are on the other days of the year."

The winners this year for the pumpkin carving contest were the donor development department.
