Standoff in Flour Bluff After Woman Allegedly Shoots Roommate

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

There was an overnight standoff in Flour Bluff when a woman barricaded herself in her home and refused to come out after allegedly shooting her roommate.

It all happened just after 2:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Admiral. Police said 47-year old Tracy Fiala had been drinking all throughout Halloween and at some point overnight, shot her male roommate.

The bullet only grazed the 50-year old victim, and he was treated at the scene.

Fiala locked herself inside the house for two hours. After refusing to come out willingly, the SWAT Team used one of their resources to get her out.

"The woman barricaded herself and refused to talk to officers until gas was used," said Officer Kirk Stowers of the Corpus Christi Police Department. "She became uncomfortable, came out and surrendered to police."

Fiala was arrested and booked for aggravated assault.
