Family Works to Clean Up Damage from Halloween Night Fire

PORTLAND (Kiii News) -

A Portland family was cleaning up Thursday after a fire destroyed the second story of their home on Halloween night.

The flames broke out around 8 p.m. Wednesday as the family was out trick-or-treating for Halloween. Fire officials on the scene said the blaze started in the garage and moved to the attic.

The entire second story of the home was destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the American Red Cross is helping the family.
