Beaumont police officers say the death of a man in old-town Beaumont is suspicious.

Brian W. Dabbs, 53, of Beaumont, was found dead in a home in the 2100 block of Angelina Street Thursday evening. Police say an injury to Dabbs along with other evidence at the scene lead them to believe the death is suspicious. The death was reported by someone else inside the home.

Police say they are interviewing witnesses and awaiting autopsy reports before they can say if foul play was involved.
