Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports)- Friday Night Sports Blitz Part I-

San Diego hosted Aransas Pass for the District 16-2A Division 1 Championship in our Blitz Game of the Week. This one featured some great individual performances, including San Diego star Luis Lopez going over the 2000-yard mark in rushing. In the end, the Vaqueros run their record to 9-0 with a 41-28 win.

State-ranked Cibolo Steele made its second visit to Corpus Christi this season as the Knights took on winless Carroll at the Cabaniss Complex. The Tiger defense put in a solid effort, but Carroll was unable to generate any scoring in a 38-0 loss that drops the Tigers to 0-9 on the season.

One of the more exciting games of the night took place at Buc Stadium, where Miller hosted Alice in a key District 31-4A game. The Coyotes needed a win to cement their playoff status, while Miller faced possible elimination with a loss. The two squads traded big plays, but it was Alice that wound up winning, 24-20.
