Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports) Friday Night Sports Blitz Part III-

After clinching a playoff spot last week, the King Mustangs traveled to San Antonio to take on Southwest in a battle for second place in District 28-5A. Defense played a big role for both teams as Southwest hung on for a tight 16-14 win.

Orange Grove kept its District 30-3A championship hopes alive on Friday night with an impressive 47-0 win over Robstown. The Bulldogs finish up the regular season next week by hosting Ingleside. A win over the Mustangs could create a 3-way tie for the title. But there was no looking past the Cotton pickers on Friday night, as the Bulldogs pitched the shutout.

The Miller Bucs provided our final regular season "Blitz Band of the Week." They now have qualified for next week's "Blitz Band of the Year" competition.
