Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports)- Friday Night Sports Blitz Part I-

District 30-3A newcomer Orange Grove hosted Ingleside on Friday night in our Blitz Game of the Week. While both teams had already qualified for the playoffs, the game was the final piece of the 30-3A championship puzzle. A win would have given Ingleside an undisputed title, but Orange Grove, backed by a SRO crowd, held off the Mustangs for a 34-26 win. That means Ingleside, Orange Grove, and Sinton will all share the district title. It's the first tri-championship since Ingleside, Sinton, and Mathis all tied in 2009.

The Miller Bucs saved their best for last as they scored with 4 seconds left in the game to edge CCISD rival Ray 46-42. The Bucs' win, combined with wins by Alice and Flour Bluff gets Miller into the playoffs. As you can tell from the score, this game was all about offense. Ray opened things up with a touchdown and two-point conversion in the first minute of the game. From there the two team swapped scores in the 61st renewal of the longest rivalry in CCISD history.
