Veterans Day Ceremonies Held at Sherrill Park and USS Lexington

Posted: Updated:

Special ceremonies took place over the weekend in honor of Veterans Day.

On Sunday, hundreds of people gathered at Sherrill Park. Flags were raised and a moment of silence was observed for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country.

Another ceremony took place on the USS Lexington.

In appreciation of their service to our nation veterans and active duty members of the United States military service received free admission to the Museum.

The Salute to Veterans Ceremony took place at 2:00 PM and included a Patriotic Flag Ceremony presented by Team Live Aboard.  The Moody High School NJROTC presented the colors and the Veterans Band provided music at the ceremony this year.
