Special Report: Driving while intexticated, the new DWI

Texting while driving is quickly becoming one of the country's top killers.

The National Safety Council estimates that each year at least 1.6 million accidents involve drivers texting behind the wheel.

In this on-line video report, 12 News HD Reporter Ellie Cano introduces a Southeast Texas man recovering from a car accident that happened more than a year ago that he says was caused by a driver who was texting while driving.
