Crime Stoppers: Attempted Abduction

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

The Corpus Christi Police Department said the hunt is on for a man accused of an attempted abduction last month.

Investigators need your help in catching the suspect, and if you can help track him down, you could earn a cash reward.

A 30-year old woman stood at the corner of Staples Street and Furman Avenue, waiting for a friend in the early morning of Oct. 27.

A man drove to up to the woman and forced her into his truck, and then drove away. The man struggled with the woman in the truck until the woman got out of the truck on the Highway 181 Causeway, headed into Portland.

The woman was significantly injured as a result of this event.

The man is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a goatee. He wore a black cold-weather type hat and a striped, short sleeve shirt. He had a 1990s model blue single-cab long bed truck with damage to the passenger side door.
