Four G-P Athletes Announce College Choices

Portland (Kiii Sports)- Four outstanding Gregory-Portland athletes announced their collegiate choices on Wednesday in a mass scholarship signing in the G-P high school gym.

Four-year letter winner Myrissa Sanchez will continue her softball career at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

Wildcat baseball and football star Travis Geiser opted to play baseball in college and will enroll at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi next fall.

G-P girls point guard Sarah Wisor will head to UT-Dallas to continue her basketball career.

Three-time Academic All-District midfielder Bethany Biles will pursue a degree in Physical Therapy while playing soccer at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene.

    A man is died after being hit by two vehicles while walking along the 200 block of NPID near the Agnes Street Exit.Police got the call around 8:50 Friday evening by drivers that say the man was walking along the highway and was staggering. Minutes later the two cars ran him over and the drivers stopped to help but he was dead. No tickets were handed out over this accident.More >>
