Hiring Red, White & You Veterans Job Fair Held at Sunrise Mall

Posted: Updated:
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

Getting local veterans back to work was the purpose of a special job fair happening Thursday at Sunrise Mall.

It was called Hiring Red, White & You, and it was put on by Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend. Over 50 Coastal Bend employers were on hand with close to 1,000 jobs up for grabs.

"There's something that they bring to the table," said Monika De La Garza of Workforce Solutions. "There's something that employers are looking for in employees, and that's discipline, expertise, used to hierarchies, can get things done in a timely manner and also respect about the job."

If you are a veteran and missed Thursday's event, you can visit www.workforcesolutionscb.org. They said there are a number of jobs up for grabs that are perfect for veterans.
