MISSION, TX (Kiii Sports) - The Flour Bluff Hornets got a little payback from 2010 when they handed Mission Veterans Memorial an early first-round exit with a 49-37 win down in the Valley.

The Hornets were beaten by Mission Vets at their own home to kick off the playoffs two years ago. This time it was the Hornets who took control in the first half 35-17, but then had to hold off a late Patriots' rally.

The Hornets are a perfect 11-0 this season as they now await the San Antonio Harlandale/Victoria East winner in the area round.
