Friday Night Sports Blitz- Part II November 16, 2012

Corpus Christi (Kiii Sports)- Friday Night Sports Blitz Part II- The Ray Texans had one of the tougher first round match ups on Friday night. The Texans had to play the Mission Eagles in Mission. This one went down to the final few moments as Ray held on for a 36-30 win.

The third time did not turn out to be the charm for King. The Mustangs set a school record with a third straight trip to the postseason this fall. Unfortunately, they played San Antonio powerhouse Brandeis for a third straight time in the playoffs. The result was a third straight lopsided loss, 55-14.

Orange Grove also made some history this season by winning its first back-to-back district championships. The Bulldogs aren't resting on those laurels as they blew out highly-regarded Devine 49-0 in San Antonio.

Three Rivers also put up some big numbers as the Bulldogs sunk Santa Maria 68-6 in a Javelina Stadium showdown. The 62-point margin of victory set a new school playoff record.
