PHI Management Solutions Inc., a company which focuses on disaster preparedness, announced that Ralph J. Huber has officially assumed the position of president. Huber is a founding partner of PHI, however, he could not assume an active management role while serving in the military. Huber has not sat idle on the sidelines, however, and was principally responsible for bringing the company's most successful product, the Zombie Apocalypse Survival Kit, to market.
Huber has over 28 years of service and a distinguished record of military and community service. Huber served in a variety of staff and command assignments including a combat command tour in Afghanistan. In addition, he has served in either a command or principal staff capacity for many different disasters and emergency responses to include the NH National Guard Hurricane Katrina response, the 2005 Columbus Day Floods in SW New Hampshire, the 2006 Mother’s Day Floods in New Hampshire, the New Hampshire National Guard response to the 2008 New England Ice Storm, the 2009 Anthrax incident in Durham, NH and more. He also served as one of the military commanders responding to the KAMAIR airline crash (outside of Kabul Afghanistan) in February 2005, claiming 110 souls.
Huber graduated with a Baccalaureate degree from Franklin Pierce College in 1992 and a Masters in Business Administration from Touro University International (now Trident University) in 2002. In addition, Huber has earned an Associate’s degree from Vincennes University, and has graduated from numerous military schools to include the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
Rounding out the management team are Gilbert G. Colon Jr. and James M. Moody. Colon retired from the Army in 2011 as a Chief Warrant Officer in the logistics branch and along with Huber is a cofounder and Senior Vice President of PHI. Colon served in the U.S. Army for over 32 years. His background in Logistics Management provides the development, decision making and technical expertise necessary to execute complex logistic plans required to support intricate logistical operations under all types of conditions. In addition, Colon holds a BS degree in Logistics Management from American University
James Moody retired from the U.S. Army in 2012 after 31 years of service and assumed the role of Vice President of Institutional Training for PHI. Moody focuses on developing emergency response plans for organizations, schools, and businesses. In addition, he trains their staff to execute their plans. He retired as a Colonel from the NH Army National Guard in July 2012 where he held numerous operational and leadership positions throughout his career. Moody deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom and has extensive experience in emergency management operations, having been involved with every major flood, snow and ice storm in NH over the last 20 years. Moody graduated with honors from New Hampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University) in 1993 with a BS in Business Administration, and he received a Master’s Degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College in 2007.
