CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
Code Enforcement officers said they have made a big difference around our neighborhood and city streets.
The City is saying that, in three months, they have removed over 900 illegal signs throughout the city, all as part of a crackdown initiative that was kicked off at the beginning of September.
Since the start of the program, 303 citations have been issued, each costing up to $500.
Most of the signs have been political, or were advertising about cheap electricity. City Code states that, if a sign is on a utility pole or less than one foot from the right of way, it is illegal.
