Early Holiday Shoppers Take Advantage of Black Friday Sales
CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -
This weekend kicks off the Christmas shopping season. Some retailers are counting on raking in at least 40-percent of their yearly sales.
This year, many stores decided to get a head start on Black Friday by offering early store hours. Some stores even opened as early as 8 p.m.; stores like Toys"R"Us and Sears.
People rushed to get tickets to make sure they were among the first to get inside their favorite store. Many folks wanted to take advantage of great deals on TVs and tablets; but was the hassle really worth it.
One shopper in line at Toys"R"Us thought so.
"I believe that the sales are actually pretty good, compared to other stores," Black Friday shopper Alexis Garza said. "There are actually going to be over 200 door buster prices, and I think the first 200 families are going to get a free toy bag worth $30. So I'm looking forward to that."
