Saturday Playoffs: Flour Bluff, G-P, Orange Grove All Advance

It was a pretty good Saturday for the Coastal Bend teams as Flour Bluff, Gregory-Portland and Orange Grove all advanced to the regional round next week.

Flour Bluff racked up 700+ yards of total offense as the Hornets coasted to a 57-15 win over San Antonio Harlandale at the Alamodome. The Hornets will face Leander in the regional round.

G-P also notched a win in 4A-Div. I as they unleashed an offensive juggernaut on Ray 70-42. Matt Anastasio's Wildcats will face Leander Rouse in the regional round, meaning it could be an all local match-up if the Wildcats and Hornets both win.

Orange Grove used all four quarters to fight off a gritty Raymondville team 26-8. The Bulldogs took a slim 7-6 lead into the 4th before scoring three touchdowns late to seal the game. Orange Grove will face Bellville in the regional round.

The San Diego Vaqueros saw their previously undefeated season come to an end at the hands of Hempstead 54-35 up in New Braunfels. Senior running back Luis Lopez ended his high school career with 363 yards and 3 touchdowns.
