Man Driving Moped Sent to Hospital After Accident

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) -

A 73-year old man was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Thursday afternoon.

The man was riding his Moped down South Alameda when a vehicle coming out of Carmel Parkway crashed into him. He was taken to the hospital with some scrapes and bruises, and is expected to be okay.

The driver of the car was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
