Strikers offer voucher for delayed arena soccer game

Posted: Updated:

Texas Strikers fans who went to the December 1 game have a free voucher to get into the next home game for free.

Saturday's season opener was scheduled to start just after 7 p.m. but was delayed almost two hours.

That's because the goals were not installed by game time. Ford Park says it's not at fault because the strikers were responsible for the goals.

The team ordered them from a manufacturer out of North Texas.

The commissioner of the Professional Arena Soccer League says the Strikers will not face any disciplinary action because the manufacturer of the goals was scheduled to have the goals in the day before the game but pushed back the delivery.

Ford Park gave away free popcorn and soda's to fans who stayed at the game.

The Strikers are scheduled to play Arizona on Saturday, Dec. 8 at Ford Park. Fans with ticket stubs from the Dec. 1 game will be allowed free access to the game.
